CSI BRIDGE

CSiBridge is a special purpose finite-element based analysis and design software tailored for the engineering of bridge structural systems. Conventional concrete and steel bridges as well as cable stayed, suspension bridges, extradosed and other types of bridge structures for elevated-roadways, railways and other types of usage can be modelled, analysed, and designed quickly. CSiBridge offers unmatched power to generate finite element models controlled by parametric definition of bridge objects!

The bridge parametric definition uses simple terms that are familiar to bridge engineers such as layout lines, lanes, spans, bearings, abutments, bents, hinges, and post-tensioning. Apply complex boundary conditions and loadings with great simplicity.

CSiBridge creates spine, shell or solid object models that update automatically as the bridge definition parameters are changed. CSiBridge also includes an easy-to-use bridge wizard that outlines the steps necessary to create a bridge model. Multi-level bridges can be modelled quickly using bridge object parameters.DCSiBridge design options allow for quick and easy design or retrofitting of steel and concrete bridges. The parametric modeller allows the user to build simple or complex bridge models and to make changes efficiently while maintaining total control over the design process. Lanes and vehicles can be defined quickly and include width effects.

CSiBridge has options for conducting staged analyses with the desired material strength based on the material’s age. Several codes define parameters for creep and shrinkage effects, and these can be used effortlessly. The bridge engineer also has an option for user defined parameters. Simple and practical Gantt charts are available to simulate modelling of construction sequences and scheduling.

CSiBridge also has options for doing a comprehensive Rail Structure Interaction (RSI) analysis in an automated manner without the need for additional effort to define rail support nonlinear parameters by the user, as these are automatically worked out by CSiBridge to determine whether the rail supports are loaded or unloaded. For RSI analysis no separate modules are required!

Bridge engineers engaged in analysis and design of cable bridges can use CSiBridge for working out cable loads to achieve the desired bridge deck profile under a user defined load by using CSiLoadOptimizer.

The power of the SAPFire® analysis engine is fully integrated into the CSiBridge, with an ultrafast multithreaded solver that uses all available cores for faster analysis. The advanced options include defining staged construction, creep and shrinkage analysis, cable tensioning to target forces, camber and shape finding, geometric nonlinearity (P-delta and large displacements), material nonlinearity (superstructure, bearings, substructure, and soil supports), modelling of discretely nonlinear objects like dampers and isolators with options for buckling, static, multi-step static, Influence line and other kinds of linear as well as nonlinear dynamic analyses.
